Born in Limoges, France, Catherine spent her first fourteen years there and then went on to discover other landscapes -- Bordeaux, Paris, London, finally settling down in New York City for ten years. Despite her deep affection for that city, eventually the need for inner discovery prompted her to examine her roots and she returned to France. Nine years later, after many creative explorations, she discovered painting and experienced a profound blossoming in personal expression. She had never imagined such fulfillment. Catherine began to explore the world through creation of her " characters," which mirror human beings, their shapes recalling ovum and spermatozoon. Her mark has been made through these "Characters" -- the artist has finally found herself in her work. While ideas continue to evolve, Catherine has created a true innovation in the world of art.
